Coaching Services – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
By booking a session, purchasing any services, packages, or digital products from The Portal of Life and Laura Martin, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Coaching Services
The services provided under this Agreement are for personal coaching, which includes but is not limited to: 1-on-1 sessions, group coaching, self-study programs, digital products, tarot card readings, oracle card readings, channelling, astrology, numerology, breathwork, and energy healing.

2.1 Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse any reading or session that I deem inappropriate, unethical, or outside the scope of the services offered. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sessions or readings that may be deemed harmful or potentially distressing to you.

  • Situations where I believe that my services would not be beneficial to your personal development or well-being.

  • If I feel that the matter at hand would require you to seek further advice or support from a licensed health professional, such as a medical doctor, therapist, or counsellor, I may recommend you pursue those services before continuing with coaching or readings.

My goal is to ensure that you receive the best possible guidance, and I will always prioritise your well-being in the coaching process.

3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to purchase coaching services or digital products. By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

4. Booking and Payment

  • Session Booking: To book coaching sessions, you must use the online booking system provided through my website or email directly with me to schedule.

  • Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking or according to the payment schedule outlined for your specific coaching package or digital product.

  • Payment Methods: Credit card and bank transfer.

  • Late Payment: If a payment is not received on time, services may be paused or cancelled until payment is made in full.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • Client-Initiated Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the session will be forfeited, and no refund will be provided.

  • Coach-Initiated Cancellations: If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will provide at least 24 hours' notice. In the event of a cancellation on my part, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund for that session.

  • No-Show Policy: If a client does not attend a session without notifying the coach in advance, the session will be counted as used, and no refund will be issued.

  • Coaching Package Cancellations:

    • 13-Week Coaching Package (or any coaching package): Once you have purchased a coaching package (such as the 13-week package), the full package fee is non-refundable. If you choose to cancel or pause your coaching services before the package is completed, no refund will be provided for any unused sessions.

    • If you need to pause your coaching package for any reason (e.g., personal circumstances, illness), I am happy to accommodate one (1) rescheduling or pause per package, provided that you give notice at least 48 hours in advance. The remaining sessions will be carried over to a later date, as agreed upon, but must be completed within 12 months from the original start date.

    • If you decide to discontinue your coaching package partway through, the balance of the remaining sessions will not be refunded, but we can work together to reschedule or adjust the sessions based on your needs.

6. Refund Policy

  • Coaching Sessions: Coaching services are non-refundable, but you may request a session reschedule if necessary.

  • Self-Study Packages/Digital Products: Once purchased, all digital products are final sale and are non-refundable, as they are immediately accessible upon purchase.

  • Exceptional Circumstances: In case of extenuating circumstances (e.g., serious illness), refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to discuss.

7. Client Responsibilities
By booking coaching services or purchasing digital products, you agree to:

  • Engage fully in the coaching process: Attend sessions as scheduled and commit to completing exercises, activities, or any recommended actions between sessions.

  • Provide honest feedback: Be open and honest during your sessions to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Confidentiality: Keep all coaching-related information confidential, and do not share any proprietary or personal content shared during coaching with others unless you have express consent.

8. Confidentiality
I respect your privacy and confidentiality. All personal information shared during coaching sessions will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except in situations where required by law or when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

  • Data Storage: All data provided (e.g., session notes, personal information, etc.) will be securely stored, and I will take reasonable steps to protect your information.

  • Use of Feedback: Any feedback provided may be used for marketing purposes but will be anonymized and used in compliance with relevant privacy laws.

9. Limitation of Liability
I am committed to providing the best coaching experience possible, but I make no guarantees regarding the outcome of any coaching services. The coaching process is a personal journey, and results vary depending on individual circumstances and effort. I am not responsible for any decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from the coaching process.

  • No Medical or Therapeutic Advice: Coaching services do not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment, and should not be seen as a replacement for professional advice from a licensed therapist or medical provider.

10. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, and resources provided through my coaching services, including worksheets, guides, videos, audios, and any other digital product, are copyrighted and remain the intellectual property of The Portal of Life. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without my express permission.

11. Terms of Use for Digital Products

  • Licence: When purchasing a digital product (e.g., self-study package, downloadable resources), you are purchasing a licence to use that content for personal use only. You may not resell, distribute, or share these products in any way.

  • Access and Delivery: After purchase, digital products will be available for download or through access in a members area on the website. You will receive access as outlined in the product description.

  • Technical Issues: In the event of any technical issues preventing you from accessing the product, please contact me immediately, and I will provide assistance.

15. Collection of Personal Information
As part of the coaching services provided, I may request certain personal information from you, such as your Date of Birth (DOB), Time of Birth, and Place of Birth. This information is collected solely for the purpose of providing tailored, personalised coaching, such as astrology-based coaching, natal chart analysis, or other services where this data is necessary for an accurate reading or deeper insight into your personal growth journey.

How This Information is Used
Your Date of Birth, Time of Birth, and Place of Birth may be used to generate an astrology chart, numerology report, or human design profile to provide a personalised analysis and tailored guidance during your coaching sessions.

Data Storage and Security
Your personal information will be stored securely and confidentially. I take reasonable steps to ensure that all data is kept private and protected from unauthorised access.

Your Rights Regarding Personal Information
You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of any personal data I hold about you.

  • Correction: Request that any inaccurate or incomplete personal data be corrected.

  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable laws and the need to retain certain data for legal or business purposes.

  • Opt-out: If you no longer wish for me to use your personal information for services such as astrology or coaching, you may request to opt-out of these services.

16. Consent for Data Collection
By booking a coaching session or purchasing any related services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in these Terms and Conditions. If you are uncomfortable providing certain personal details (such as your Date of Birth, Time of Birth, or Place of Birth), please let me know, and I can offer alternative methods or adjust the services accordingly.

17. Data Protection
I am committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (where applicable), and other relevant privacy laws and standards.

12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of Queensland, Australia.

13. Amendments
I reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, and any changes will be reflected on this page. By continuing to use the coaching services or digital products after changes are made, you agree to abide by the updated terms.
